Gandria is nestled on the shores of Lake Ceresio that may be reached either by land or by the lake. The town’s center is closed to traffic and is an oasis of peace with its picturesque tiny streets and stairs that offer glimpses of great iews and gorgeous landscapes.
Stroll around the village, learn about the history of life in the region and have a bite in one of the many restaurants in Gandria before taking a boat back to Lugano.
At leisure: Monte Brè.
Along with Monte San Salvatore, Monte Brè is one of the two mountains that serve to frame the bay of Lake Lugano. Accessible by funicular, its summit offers a splendid view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. An enjoyable and pleasant walk leads down to the village of Brè. Dedicated exclusively to agriculture and pastures until just a few decades ago, it is now transitioning to modern life. However, it retains its full medieval charm within a unique landscape and the quiet of the countryside. In past years, artists who sought inspiration found these conditions ideal and chose to settle here, leaving behind many of their works which we still admire.

Lake Como Private Tour.
You will start your full-day private tour with a minivan transfer to Tremezzo.
Here you will take a guided tour to Villa Carlotta and its amazing art collection including beautiful sculptures by Canova, followed by a walk in the colorful and astounding botanical gardens of the villa.
You will then take a cruise on a private open-top Venetian water taxi, touring the coast from Tremezzo down to Lenno, to admire Villa del Balbianello and circumnavigate Island Comacina. Then we will cruise along the opposite coast to reach the botanical gardens of Villa Melzi and finally Bellagio. You will enjoy a discovery tour of the old town before some free time for lunch.
